Easy Tree and Flower Drawings

10 drawings from the Plants path in Paper Coach, easiest first, each one line at a time on paper.

These ten plant drawings start small. A pine tree is just triangles stacked one on top of the other, and the tulip and cactus come next with only a few shapes each. Later you draw a big oak, a sunflower and a rose, then a twisted bonsai, and you finish with a windowsill garden.

Questions

Good to know

Which plant drawing should I start with?

Start with the pine tree. It is made of stacked triangles, so it only takes a few minutes. Then draw the tulip and the cactus. The later drawings build on what those first three teach.

Can a young child draw these plants?

Yes. The first three use big, simple shapes a child can copy. A parent can draw the same plant on a separate sheet, one step at a time, and you can compare when you both finish.

What do I need to draw them?

A pencil, an eraser and plain paper are enough. Press lightly at first so mistakes are easy to erase, then go over the lines you want to keep.

Draw the whole path with Lina

In Paper Coach, Lina draws each line of every Plants drawing on the screen, then waits while you draw it on paper. The first 3 are free.
