Easy Space Drawings

10 drawings from the Space path in Paper Coach, easiest first, each one line at a time on paper.

Start with the three easiest: a rocket, a crescent moon and a star. Each one takes only a few simple shapes and lines. The later drawings, like the comet, the UFO and the Mars rover, build on those first three. The path ends with the solar system, with each planet placed on an oval orbit around the sun.

Questions

Which space drawing should a beginner start with?

Start with the rocket, then the crescent moon and the star. They are the three easiest, and the later drawings reuse the shapes you practice in them.

How do I draw the orbits in a solar system drawing?

Each orbit is an ellipse, which is a stretched circle. Draw them one inside the other around the sun, then put a planet on each line. Keep your lines light so they are easy to fix.

Can a parent and child draw these together?

Yes. Each drawing is split into small steps. Sit side by side, draw one step at a time, and look at each other's paper before moving on to the next step.
