Easy Vehicle Drawings

10 drawings from the Wheels path in Paper Coach, easiest first, each one line at a time on paper.

Every drawing here rolls on wheels, and most of them start with a box and a few circles. Begin with the school bus, the car and the dump truck, then try a monster truck, a train, a bicycle and an excavator. The last ones, like the ambulance with its cross and roof light and the race car, use what the first three teach.

Questions

Good to know

Which vehicle should we draw first?

Start with the school bus. Its body is one big box, so it is the easiest to get right. The car and the dump truck come next, and the later drawings reuse those same shapes.

How do I keep the wheels the same size?

Draw one wheel, then look at its width before you draw the next one beside it. Keep your lines light, so a wheel that comes out too big is easy to erase and redo.

Is this a good fit for drawing with a young child?

Yes. The first drawings use simple boxes and circles that a small child can follow. A parent can draw the same vehicle right next to them, one step at a time, and compare.

Draw the whole path with Lina

In Paper Coach, Lina draws each line of every Wheels drawing on the screen, then waits while you draw it on paper. The first 3 are free.
